In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $1.33T MX, 19.4% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2024, Fishing registered 34,792 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Tabasco (5,436), Oaxaca (4,910), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (4,182).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $22.3B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sinaloa ($4.11B MX) and Sonora ($3.18B MX).

For its part, total income reached $23.3B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Sinaloa ($4.58B MX) and Sonora ($3.31B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Fishing the states with the highest affinity were Sonora (0.74), Chihuahua (0.67), Sinaloa (0.66), Baja California Sur (0.66), and Colima (0.64).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  19,627 economic units were totaled in Fishing, highlighting Oaxaca (3,553), Tabasco (2,875), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (2,090).

Total gross production was $22.3B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sinaloa ($4.11B MX) and Sonora ($3.18B MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Fishing had a total of 37,665 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Centla (2.15k), Santiago Ixcuintla (1.31k), and Alvarado (1.3k)

Total income eached $49B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Mazatlán ($13.1B MX), Jonuta ($5.42B MX), and Ensenada ($3.8B MX).

Total expenditures were $20.9B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Mazatlán ($8.09B MX), Tapachula ($1.44B MX), and Ensenada ($1.37B MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 351819 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Acapulco de Juárez (20.7k), Carmen (14.2k), and Ahome (12.6k).
