In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $1.33T MX, 19.4% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2024, Aquaculture registered 7,006 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Sinaloa (996), Michoacán de Ocampo (654), and Morelos (514).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $12B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sonora ($4.16B MX) and Sinaloa ($3.18B MX).

For its part, total income reached $12.2B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Sonora ($4.26B MX) and Sinaloa ($3.28B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Aquaculture the states with the highest affinity were Sonora (0.69), Chihuahua (0.64), Sinaloa (0.63), Baja California Sur (0.63), and Colima (0.61).

In the second quarter of 2024, Agriculture, Animal Production, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting recorded a gross domestic product of $1.33T MX, evidencing an increase of 19.4% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 5.77% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  3,666 economic units were totaled in Aquaculture, highlighting Sinaloa (503), Michoacán de Ocampo (342), and Morelos (288).

Total gross production was $12B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Sonora ($4.16B MX) and Sinaloa ($3.18B MX).

Total income reached $12.2B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Sonora ($4.26B MX) and Sinaloa ($3.28B MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Aquaculture had a total of 4,521 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Culiacán (525), Ayala (201), and Hidalgo (153)

Total income eached $13.4B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Ensenada ($2.86B MX), La Paz ($2.23B MX), and Hermosillo ($2.18B MX).

Total expenditures were $9.18B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Ensenada ($2.93B MX), Hermosillo ($1.83B MX), and La Paz ($990M MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 38109 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Guasave (2.89k), Culiacán (2.76k), and Cajeme (2.59k).

The visualization shows the number of economic units in Aquaculture according to the number of employees.

According to DENUE data published in May 2024, 5,810 companies with 0 to 10 employees were registered (2,908 companies more than the previous period). In the same period, 1,018 companies with 11 to 50 employees were registered (509 companies more than the previous period).

118 companies with 51 to 100 employees were registered in 2024 (58 companies more than the previous period). Likewise, 60 companies with more than 101 employees were registered (31 companies more than the previous period).
