In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $888B MX, 7.58% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2024, Social Assistance registered 37,319 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Estado de México (4,063), Ciudad de México (3,319), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (2,306).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $9.75B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($1.1B MX) and Jalisco ($780M MX).

For its part, total income reached $10.2B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($1.14B MX) and Jalisco ($802M MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Social Assistance the states with the highest affinity were Sonora (0.81), Chihuahua (0.75), Baja California Sur (0.71), Sinaloa (0.7), and Colima (0.7).

During the second quarter of 2024 in Social Assistance the workforce was 41.9k people, 18.5% men and 81.5% women. In addition, the average monthly salary informed was $6.15k MX.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  24,087 economic units were totaled in Social Assistance, highlighting Estado de México (2,557), Ciudad de México (2,023), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (1,737).

Total gross production was $9.75B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($1.1B MX) and Jalisco ($780M MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Social Assistance had a total of 68,934 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Iztapalapa (1.6k), Guadalajara (1.41k), and Tijuana (1.29k)

Total income eached $30.2B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Guadalajara ($1.73B MX), Juárez ($949M MX), and Aguascalientes ($817M MX).

Total expenditures were $13.2B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Guadalajara ($764M MX), Tijuana ($409M MX), and Aguascalientes ($405M MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 421923 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Tijuana (11.7k), Guadalajara (10.2k), and León (8.15k).

According to DENUE data published in May 2024, 30,209 companies with 0 to 10 employees were registered (14 companies more than the previous period). In the same period, 6,709 companies with 11 to 50 employees were registered (17 companies less than the previous period).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the distribution of economic units according to size that had access to financing was 6.48% units with up to 10 people, 5.84% units with 11 to 50 people, and 20.9% units with 51 to 250 people.

According to the age of the economic units, the distribution of those that obtained financing was 8.12% of the recently created (up to 2 years) units, 7.13% of the youth (3 to 5 years) units, 7.15% of the adults (6 to 10 years) units, and 5.41% of the seniors (over 10 years) units.

The states with the highest percentage of economic units that received financing were Baja California Sur (14.2%), Tamaulipas (13.5%), Tlaxcala (13%), Colima (12.9%), and Nuevo León (11.8%).
