The average age of Domestic Workers, Cleaners, Launderers and other Janitors was 43.9 years. The workforce was distributed in 23.6% men with an average salary of $5.45k MX and, 76.4% women with average salary of $4.48k MX.

The best average salaries received by Domestic Workers, Cleaners, Launderers and other Janitors were in Baja California Sur ($9.09k MX), Nayarit ($6.72k MX), and Nuevo León ($6.54k MX) while the workforce was larger in Estado de México (525k), Ciudad de México (346k), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (252k).

In terms of industries, the best average salaries were in Travel Agencies and Reservation Services ($16.9k MX), Electric Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Commercialization ($16k MX), and Professional Athletes and Sports Teams ($12k MX), while the workforce was concentrated on Employment Services (648k), Beauty Salons and Clinics, Public Baths and Washrooms, and Shoeshine Shops (231k), and Waste Collection (228k).

At the level of states, Chiapas had the highest percentage of informal workers with 87.6% corresponding to 99.2k from 113k workers, while the state with the lowest percentage of informal workers was Baja California Sur with a 46.6% corresponding to 20.8k from 44.7k workers.

In the same period, an average salary of $4.7k MX was observed, registering a drop of 0.11%, compared to the first quarter of 2024 ($4.71k MX).

The states with the highest number of Domestic Workers, Cleaners, Launderers and other Janitors during the second quarter of 2024 were Estado de México (525k), Ciudad de México (346k), and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (252k)

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the second quarter of 2024, the main positive variations occurred in Puebla and Quintana Roo with an increase of 18.5k (11.1%) and 10.7k (12.4%), respectively. On the other hand, the negative variations were accentuated in Jalisco and Ciudad de México with a decrease of 23.3k (9.65%) and 15.2k (4.21%), respectively.

Comparing the first quarter of 2021 and the second quarter of 2024, the positive salary growth was higher in Zacatecas and Baja California Sur with an increase of $996 MX (27.3%) and $715 MX (8.54%), respectively. Por otro lado, las variaciones salariales negativas se acentuaron en Tabasco and Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave with a decrease of $494 MX (10.9%) and $460 MX (10%), respectively.

Regarding the schooling years, the workforce was higher in the range with 7 to 9 years of schooling concentrating 1.54M workers of which 28.9%  corresponds to formal employment (447k) and 71.1% corresponds to informal employment (1.1M).
