In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $778B MX, 2.32% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2024, Restaurants and other Eating Places registered 723,285 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Estado de México (87,785), Ciudad de México (54,456), and Jalisco (48,178).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $440B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($82.9B MX) and Estado de México ($41.1B MX).

For its part, total income reached $441B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($83.2B MX) and Estado de México ($41.2B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Restaurants and other Eating Places the states with the highest affinity were Chihuahua (0.68), Sonora (0.67), Coahuila de Zaragoza (0.64), Nuevo León (0.64), and Baja California Sur (0.63).

In the second quarter of 2024, Accommodation and Food Services recorded a gross domestic product of $778B MX, evidencing an increase of 2.32% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 2.59% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  581,530 economic units were totaled in Restaurants and other Eating Places, highlighting Estado de México (67,756), Ciudad de México (53,884), and Jalisco (40,483).

Total gross production was $440B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($82.9B MX) and Estado de México ($41.1B MX).

Total income reached $441B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($83.2B MX) and Estado de México ($41.2B MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Restaurants and other Eating Places had a total of 1,258,149 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Guadalajara (28.7k), Puebla (23.4k), and León (23.1k)

Total income eached $679B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Cuauhtémoc ($28.4B MX), Miguel Hidalgo ($22.5B MX), and Monterrey ($18.6B MX).

Total expenditures were $431B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Cuauhtémoc ($18.4B MX), Miguel Hidalgo ($15.4B MX), and Monterrey ($12.2B MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 3702795 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Cuauhtémoc (101k), Guadalajara (97.4k), and Puebla (70.5k).

According to DENUE data published in November 2024, 697,300 companies with 0 to 10 employees were registered (76,507 companies more than the previous period). In the same period, 24,031 companies with 11 to 50 employees were registered (3,502 companies more than the previous period).

1,571 companies with 51 to 100 employees were registered in 2024 (35 companies more than the previous period). Likewise, 383 companies with more than 101 employees were registered (24 companies less than the previous period).
