In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $289B MX, 8.56% more than the previous quarter.

According DENUE 2024, Administrative and Support Services registered 78,334 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were Estado de México (12,281), Ciudad de México (8,053), and Jalisco (4,938).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $655B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($213B MX) and Nuevo León ($63.9B MX).

For its part, total income reached $663B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($217B MX) and Nuevo León ($64.9B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Administrative and Support Services the states with the highest affinity were Sonora (0.74), Querétaro (0.72), Chihuahua (0.7), Nuevo León (0.69), and Baja California (0.66).

During the second quarter of 2024 in Administrative and Support Services the workforce was 3.11M people, 60.7% men and 39.3% women. In addition, the average monthly salary informed was $6.26k MX.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  74,992 economic units were totaled in Administrative and Support Services, highlighting Estado de México (11,639), Ciudad de México (8,001), and Jalisco (4,766).

Total gross production was $655B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Ciudad de México ($213B MX) and Nuevo León ($63.9B MX).

Total income reached $663B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Ciudad de México ($217B MX) and Nuevo León ($64.9B MX).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Administrative and Support Services had a total of 222,888 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were Guadalajara (6.41k), Puebla (5.03k), and Iztapalapa (4.66k)

Total income eached $901B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were Miguel Hidalgo ($177B MX), Azcapotzalco ($90.1B MX), and Monterrey ($52.3B MX).

Total expenditures were $292B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were Miguel Hidalgo ($60.7B MX), Benito Juárez ($15.8B MX), and Monterrey ($15.2B MX).

On the other hand, in 2014 there were 4245225 employees dependent on economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of employees were Azcapotzalco (723k), Monterrey (280k), and Cuauhtémoc (270k).

According to DENUE data published in May 2024, 70,256 companies with 0 to 10 employees were registered (58 companies more than the previous period). In the same period, 4,811 companies with 11 to 50 employees were registered (50 companies less than the previous period).

1,049 companies with 51 to 100 employees were registered in 2024 (230 companies less than the previous period). Likewise, 2,218 companies with more than 101 employees were registered (377 companies less than the previous period).

According to the level of instruction, the distribution of trained staff was 65.6% of staff without intruction, 63.7% of staff with basic education, 57.3% of staff with upper secondary education, and 59% of staff with higher education.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the distribution of economic units according to size that had access to financing was 12.1% units with up to 10 people, 20.4% units with 11 to 50 people, 20% units with 51 to 250 people, and 20.8% units with 251 and more people.

According to the age of the economic units, the distribution of those that obtained financing was 15% of the recently created (up to 2 years) units, 12.6% of the youth (3 to 5 years) units, 11.9% of the adults (6 to 10 years) units, and 13.4% of the seniors (over 10 years) units.

The states with the highest percentage of economic units that received financing were Colima (18.5%), Oaxaca (16.8%), Querétaro (16.1%), Guerrero (16%), and Baja California Sur (16%).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the main problems faced by the economic units of Administrative and Support Services with up to 10 workers are public insecurity (23.4%), another problems (17.1%), high taxes (15.2%), and unfair competition problems (7.86%).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, 6.26% of the large economic units of the private and parastatal sector of Administrative and Support Services had innovation activities in 2018.

Of the total staff employed in large economic units, 2.73% was employed in product innovation activities, 2.36% in process innovation, 0.83% in market innovation, 1.97% in organizational innovation, and 1.3% in innovation for technological adaptation and documentation.

Qualified staff in Innovation Activities

The visualization shows the distribution of large economic units of the private and parastatal sector of Administrative and Support Services that employed qualified staff in technological research and development activities in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, the lowercase Administrative and Support Services Subsector had 378 economic units that had qualified staff in technological research and development activities, 31 economic units had it for research and technological development in the field of Biotechnology and 30 economic units for research and technological development in Nanotechnology.

In the same year, 44 economic units had qualified personnel in the registration or processing of patents for brands, products or processes, and 35 economic units had this type of staff to contracts or acquisition of patents for brands, products or processes.
