The main product bought by Mexico from Russia in 2023 was Intermediate Products of Iron or Non-Alloy Steel (US$728M). The main destinations of purchases made to Russia were Nuevo León (US$897M), Ciudad de México (US$344M), and Michoacán de Ocampo (US$165M).

In the period January to December 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Russia to Mexico is US$86.4M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Russia were Ciudad de México (US$82.1M), Quintana Roo (US$3.77M), and Estado de México (Confidential).

Regarding remittances, in the fourth quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$0 in remittances from Russia, while Russia received US$0 in remittances from Mexico.

Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 1,280 inmigrants from Russia were registered in 2020, 44.2% women and 55.8% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from Russia were Quintana Roo (918 people), Estado de México (153 people), and Sonora (71 people).
