The main product bought by Mexico from Peru in 2023 was Refined Copper and Copper Alloys (US$389M). The main destinations of purchases made to Peru were Ciudad de México (US$769M), Jalisco (US$150M), and Nuevo León (US$65.4M).

In the period January to June 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Peru to Mexico is -US$2.23M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Peru were Estado de México (Confidential), Quintana Roo (US$639k), and Jalisco (Confidential).

Regarding remittances, in the second quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$8.04M in remittances from Peru, while Peru received US$6.33M in remittances from Mexico.

Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 3,229 inmigrants from Peru were registered in 2020, 42.1% women and 57.9% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from Peru were Ciudad de México (1,163 people), Estado de México (602 people), and Puebla (178 people).
