In the period January to December 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from China to Mexico is US$710M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from China were Ciudad de México (US$541M), Campeche (US$63.3M), and Coahuila de Zaragoza (US$55.9M).
Regarding remittances, in the fourth quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$358k in remittances from China, while China received US$1.5M in remittances from Mexico.
Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 2,282 inmigrants from China were registered in 2020, 40.1% women and 59.9% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from China were Ciudad de México (782 people), Coahuila de Zaragoza (365 people), and Estado de México (268 people).
