The main sale from Mexico to Chile in 2023 was Motor Cars and other Vehicles Principally Designed Cars for Transport of Persons (US$114M). The main origins of sales to Chile were Ciudad de México (US$429M), Estado de México (US$266M), and Nuevo León (US$108M).

The main product bought by Mexico from Chile in 2023 was Refined Copper and Copper Alloys (US$368M). The main destinations of purchases made to Chile were Ciudad de México (US$883M), Jalisco (US$483M), and Estado de México (US$187M).

In the period January to June 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Chile to Mexico is US$161M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from Chile were Jalisco (US$22M), Sinaloa (Confidential), and Michoacán de Ocampo (Confidential).

Regarding remittances, in the second quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$4.47M in remittances from Chile, while Chile received US$1.97M in remittances from Mexico.

Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 3,656 inmigrants from Chile were registered in 2020, 42.6% women and 57.4% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from Chile were Ciudad de México (1,075 people), Quintana Roo (409 people), and Jalisco (308 people).
