In the second quarter of 2024 the gross domestic product was $6.58T MX, 5.06% more than the previous quarter.

According to data from the Economic Census 2019, total gross production was $43.8B MX. The states with the highest total gross production were Nuevo León ($18.9B MX) and Estado de México ($10.2B MX).

For its part, total income reached $43.5B MX in 2019, being the states with the highest income Nuevo León ($17.9B MX) and Estado de México ($10.2B MX).

Economic activities are related if they require similar knowledge or inputs. In 2014 in Alumina and Aluminum Production and Processing the states with the highest affinity were Nuevo León (0.76), Querétaro (0.72), Chihuahua (0.69), Jalisco (0.67), and Coahuila de Zaragoza (0.66).

According to data from the Economic Census 2019,  127 economic units were totaled in Alumina and Aluminum Production and Processing, highlighting Nuevo León (23), Estado de México (20), and Jalisco (14).

According to dato from Economic Census 2014, Alumina and Aluminum Production and Processing had a total of 87 economic units and the municipalities with the highest number of economic units were San Nicolás de los Garza (18), Monterrey (15), and Tijuana (12)

Total income eached $28.6B MX and the municipalities with the highest income were San Nicolás de los Garza ($12.2B MX), Tlalnepantla de Baz ($5.18B MX), and Guadalajara ($4.98B MX).

Total expenditures were $22.1B MX and the municipalities with the highest expenditures were San Nicolás de los Garza ($10.7B MX), Tlalnepantla de Baz ($3.56B MX), and Guadalajara ($3.43B MX).
