In 2020, the population in Tulancingo was 268,351 inhabitants (47.4% men and 52.6% women). Compared to 2010, the population in Tulancingo increased by 12%.

The total population of Tulancingo in 2020 was 268,351 inhabitants, with 52.6% woman, and 47.4% men.

The age ranges that concentrated the largest population were 10 to 14 years (24,479 inhabitants), 15 to 19 years (24,279 inhabitants), and 5 to 9 years (23,470 inhabitants). Among them they concentrated 26.9% of the total population.
