In 2020, in Hidalgo, the municipalities with the lowest social inequality, according to the GINI index, were: Acatlán (0.289), Tecozautla (0.290), Eloxochitlán (0.294), Tizayuca (0.296), and Atotonilco de Tula (0.296). On the other hand, the municipalities with less social equality by this metric were: Molango de Escamilla (0.404), Huejutla de Reyes (0.393), Tlanchinol (0.391), San Bartolo Tutotepec (0.389), and Huautla (0.380).

Similarly, a 10% of the population assured that they had a lot of trust in the Public Ministry and State Prosecutors, a 12.1% in the Judges and a 28.6% in the Federal Police, while a 13.7%, a 14.4% and a 5.26% claimed to have a lot of distrust in them, respectively.
