The main sale from Mexico to China in 2023 was Copper Ores and Concentrates (US$3.32B). The main origins of sales to China were Sonora (US$2.61B), Ciudad de México (US$1.99B), and Puebla (US$1.37B).

The main product bought by Mexico from China in 2023 was Telephones, Including Mobile Phones and those of other Wireless Networks (US$9.06B). The main destinations of purchases made to China were Ciudad de México (US$27.7B), Chihuahua (US$14.8B), and Jalisco (US$12.5B).

In the period January to June 2024, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from China to Mexico is US$235M. In the same period, the states that received the highest FDI from China were Coahuila de Zaragoza (Confidential), Chihuahua (Confidential), and San Luis Potosí (Confidential).

Regarding remittances, in the second quarter of 2024, Mexico received US$361k in remittances from China, while China received US$1.55M in remittances from Mexico.

Finally, in terms of immigration to Mexico, 2,282 inmigrants from China were registered in 2020, 40.1% women and 59.9% men. The states with the highest concentration of inmigrants from China were Ciudad de México (782 people), Coahuila de Zaragoza (365 people), and Estado de México (268 people).
